Coronavirus Update 05/27/2020
TeleVisits are now being offered. Please initiate request, via patient portal.
Regular Summer office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 - 5:00 pm, resume June 1, 2020.
Our practice is scheduling well child exams, so please bring your children in soon to avoid the back to school rush.
As you aware, COVID-19 has created a sense of panic in our community. We want to assure our patients and families that ABC Pediatrics is available to treat our families in this time of uncertainty. We are constantly monitoring the updates from the Center for Disease Control as well the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Here are some ways that our practice is protecting our patients, their families and our staff:
Our facility is already designed to separate well patients from sick patients with a separate ventilation system.
Exam rooms have been designated well or sick only.
All toys, books and magazines have been removed from the waiting rooms.
All hardware in the exam rooms are wiped down after every patient visit. Our staff continues to make sure each room and equipment is properly disposed of or sanitized.
Our providers have divided the patients so that providers will only see sick or well patients for the entire day. With that said, your child's previously scheduled visit may be moved to another provider to ensure that the well and sick children are not being exposed to the same providers, same staff or same rooms.
We have streamlined our check out process so the patients will not be checking out at the same time. Patients are now being checked out in the exam rooms as much as possible.
If parents feel more comfortable waiting in their cars until their appointment time, we have implemented a text message system to notify the parents or caregivers that the patient will be called back shortly and to re-enter the building.
Our providers have implemented telemedicine/virtual visits for your convenience.
We will provide updates as available. Please do not hesitate to contact our office should you have any questions or concerns.
